Click on each title below to see detailed information.

Elementary, Middle School and High School public education is available through 21 Macomb County school districts to prepare youth for advanced education or the work place.

The following service is also available which provides additional assistance to eligible students:

In-school Individualized Instruction is available free in some Macomb County schools to youth 14 to 21 years who are at risk of dropping out of school. Services include individualized instruction for students who are deficient in reading and math. Students must meet income guidelines. Contact your local high school counselor.

Free trained volunteer reading tutors are matched one-on-one with persons over the age of 18 who have trouble with reading (reading a newspaper, understanding directions on a prescription, filling out an application, etc.), or anyone who is learning to speak, read and write English.  Days, times and places for the help is negotiable.  Available from Macomb Literacy Partners, (586) 286-2750. https://www.macombliteracy.org/
